MAGDA AND MICHAL – CANOE ADVENTURE ENGAGEMENT

Rapid current of the river, wooden canoes, amazing nature and two people devoted to each other – this is how I could sum up in a nutshell the days spent with Magda and Michał when I accompanied them as a photographer during an unusual engagement session, the effects of which you can see below. While the engagement session itself is very popular among couples who want to capture one of the most important moments in their lives, the circumstances of cooperation with this couple were really unique.

Magda and Michał live in a really small town near Cracow in an unusual, almost century-old wooden house surrounded by trees and greenery. They both love nature and they always try to live as close to nature as possible, which is why you can often see them walking barefoot in the company of their four-legged friends – sometimes they are also accompanied by owls that found shelter on trees growing in the vicinity of their home. The sensitivity and spirituality of the couple are also reflected in their professional life – Michał is one of the few real craftsmen involved in the construction of traditional wooden canoes, while Magda devotes herself to the theater.

The minute I met Magda and Michał, I knew that if I wanted to capture their feelings it had to take place in the wild nature. We spent few amazing days together away from civilization. We paddled canoes on the wild Pilica River, slept in tents, and spent the evenings sitting by the fire discussing everything and nothing, staring at the starry sky. These few days resulted not only in an engagement session, but also a friendship that continues until today.
