Recommended Wedding Photographer in Krakow, Poland
Choosing the best wedding photographer in Krakow can be a challenge. Here are a few steps that can help you make your decision:
How to choose the best wedding photographer in krakow?
Start by reviewing the photographer’s portfolio. Instead of focusing solely on a few polished Instagram shots, examine an entire wedding reportage in Krakow. Look through all the photos, from the morning preparations to the lively evening celebrations, to gain a better understanding of their work quality.
Do the photos resonate with you? While this may seem like a simple question, it’s crucial to consider. Each photographer has a unique style, including their choice of colors, framing techniques, and approach to capturing special moments. Keep in mind that your wedding photos will reflect the style evident in the photographer’s previous work.
Experience matters. In any profession, experience counts, but it’s especially significant in wedding photography due to the dynamic nature of the event. A seasoned photographer can handle unexpected situations with ease, helping you stay calm and relaxed. Additionally, experienced photographers often offer helpful advice on wedding organization.
Schedule a meeting—either in person or via video call. Building a connection with your photographer is essential, as you’ll spend considerable time together on your big day. Feeling comfortable with them can make all the difference.
By following these steps, you can improve your chances of finding an exceptional wedding photographer in Krakow who will beautifully capture your treasured memories for years to come.

Why is it worth choosing a wedding photographer in Krakow?

Selecting a wedding photographer who is deeply familiar with Krakow brings a host of additional benefits:
Local Expertise: A photographer well-acquainted with Krakow will know the top spots for photoshoots—ranging from iconic landmarks to hidden gems that lend a unique charm to your photos.
Streamlined Logistics: Being a local expert means they understand the city inside and out. This familiarity can significantly reduce travel time and enhance the planning of your session, which is crucial on a day where every minute counts.
Increased Availability: A Krakow-based photographer is typically more accessible for pre-wedding consultations and planning sessions, which can simplify communication and ensure every detail is coordinated.
Local Service Recommendations: They can also offer valuable suggestions for other local vendors, such as florists, makeup artists, or reception venues, thereby easing the overall wedding planning process.
In essence, hiring a wedding photographer with in-depth knowledge of Krakow is an investment in the confidence that your special day’s magic will be captured perfectly.

Here are some popular and enchanting spots in Krakow that many couples have found perfect for their photo shoots:
Wawel Castle & Hill: The regal setting of Wawel Castle offers a majestic backdrop, and the surrounding hill provides panoramic views of the Vistula River. This blend of history and natural beauty creates a timeless, romantic atmosphere.
Planty Park: Circling the Old Town, Planty Park features lush greenery, charming pathways, and soft, natural light—especially during morning or late-afternoon hours. Its serene ambiance makes for intimate and candid photos.
The Old Town (Rynek Główny & Back Alleys): While the Main Market Square exudes historical grandeur with landmarks like St. Mary’s Basilica and the Cloth Hall, the quieter, narrow streets surrounding it reveal hidden courtyards and architectural details perfect for more personal, unobtrusive shots.
Kazimierz (Jewish Quarter): This culturally vibrant district is known for its eclectic art, quaint cafes, and graffiti-adorned walls. The bohemian vibe offers an urban yet cozy feel, ideal for couples looking for creative, offbeat imagery.
Vistula Boulevards: The scenic banks of the Vistula River offer sweeping cityscape views and natural light, especially during sunset. The relaxed riverside setting can lend a dreamy, contemporary touch to your photo collection.
- Zakrzówek: This is an excellent choice if you’re looking to capture an adventurous and visually dynamic photo shoot that breaks from the conventional mold. Its stunning natural scenery—characterized by the clear turquoise waters and dramatic limestone walls—creates a striking and unforgettable backdrop.
Alternative Urban Spots: For couples seeking something different, areas like Nowa Huta—with its modernist architecture—or sprinkled hidden courtyards off the beaten path can provide a striking contrast between history and modernity.
When planning your shoot, consider the time of day and the specific vibe you want to capture. A wedding photographer familiar with these spots can help tailor the experience to match your personal style and interests.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
I am lucky that since 2013 I have been able to document wonderful love stories in Poland and other European countries.
I photograph all types of weddings, from small intimate celebrations to large luxury weddings, including alternative weddings, humanist ceremonies and LGBT+ unions. Every wedding has a different style and its own beauty.
The day after the wedding, you will receive a small selection of about 50-60 photos from the most representative moments. The rest of the reportage is typically delivered two to three months after the wedding
It depends on the type of wedding, each is different, it is not easy to give an exact number because there are many factors to take into account, such as the number of guests, the number of planned attractions and the type of ceremony (civil ceremonies are generally much faster than religious ceremonies in church). At a small wedding or elopement you might get 300-400 photos, while at a large luxury wedding you could easily get over 1,000-1,200. On average, we can say that you usually receive about 700-800 photos. In any case, you will receive many photos and you will definitely have all the important moments and people in them.
Yes, when signing the contract, an advance payment is made, which is usually 20% of the total price, and the remaining payment is made after the wedding.
In the event that I was unable to attend the wedding due to force majeure, accident or illness, I would arrange for a replacement photographer with a similar level of experience to me and provide him with my fee.
Yes, of course we can order a beautiful photo album made of the best quality materials, I recommend it, you will love it.
Yes, I work with a fantastic wedding videographer and we make very beautiful wedding films, you can see some examples and more information about it by clicking here.
I think it’s a warm, intimate and honest style. The photos are romantic, but not too sweet, they are real and natural. I like to document your day without adding ingredients, naturally, capturing all the emotions that arise. I like to tell a complete story, so I also consider myself a storyteller.
I think I’m very easy to work with. I am quite a calm person, which comes in handy during stressful wedding moments. I am very empathetic, generally I am close to you, capturing all the moments and emotions that arise.
You don’t have to know how to pose, just be yourself. During the photo session, I will give you some very simple instructions, such as do not look into the camera and act as if I was not there. You don’t have to do anything special, just relax and enjoy the day, I’ll take care of the photos.
After editing the photos, we upload them to your private online gallery. You can share this gallery with your friends and family. You will also receive a PIN that will allow you to download all photos in high resolution or web-optimized format.
Yes, in the contract we have all the necessary information, wedding schedule, ceremony addresses and wedding hall, payment terms, delivery terms, cancellation policy and many other important details that are worth having in writing.
Food, yes, of course 🙂 the wedding day is long and you need to have energy to work. As for accommodation, it depends. If the wedding takes place in my city (Warsaw) or the surrounding area, I do not need accommodation. If the wedding takes place in another city in Poland, I will need accommodation for the night after the wedding. If it is an international wedding in another country, I will need accommodation for at least 2 days.
